Artist:Hungry Lung & The Dry Lake Birds

Hungry Lung & The Dry Lake Birds are a Sydney based band, who play an eclectic collection of folk-rock ballads, bringing together sounds from traditional folk, rock, country, electronic & classical influences. Hungry lung, a pseudonym adopted by singer/guitarist Travis Hodgson, has been a method of exploring multiple music projects and stylistic influences over the last three years. The Dry Lake Birds are the most recent addition to the project, with Mitchell O’Connell on the drums, Alex Coroneo and Alex Cameron on violins and Sarah Horvath on keys. Their compositions point to influences that range from Bob Dylan, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Dirty Three, Devendra Banhart and Andrew Bird. Hungry Lung and the Dry Lake Birds are currently unsigned, however recorded their first live show at Megaphon Studios in Sydney.
