Artist:Insight Out Collective

The Insight Out LP came together when Aussa Nova founders Maira Cortez and Tristan Alaba agreed to produce an album together. Drawing upon songs of their own as well as collaborations with friends from the Insight Out Collective, they settled on a tracklist of 11 songs, and in November 2019 they booked into Sydney’s premiere Studios 301 for three full-day sessions, with engineer Sam Troy. The sessions involved tracking the live band song “Sage Me”, written by Maira Cortez, which opens the album, as well as the guitar for “Figuring Out”, written by Tristan Alaba, which is the second track, and the trumpet for “Spread Love”, featuring vocals written and performed by Sofya Chalik. Much of the album was written, recorded and produced in the various studios that Aussa Nova was based in, or working from.
