About
Invisible Boy started life as an acoustic duo playing in Tasmanian front bars. Today, the band is a touring four piece with two full length albums, national radio airplay, a blossoming fanbase and a bucket load of live experience. They have been likened to Eels, Damien Rice, The Lucksmiths, Angus and Julia Stone and Things of Stone and Wood. They call it indie folk-pop. Whatever you call it, the reviews are glowing: “One of the best bands of their kind” (DrumBeat Magazine); “Elegantly polished melodies with poignant lyricism” (The Dwarf); “Mature themes, tackled with innocence and spirit” (Sauce) and “Confident, strident, catchy, strong” (Indie CDs). The debut album, We’re Going to Hang Your Picture High, was produced by Carl Fidler (The Dead Abigails) and released independently in 2008.
