Ire are a newly formed metal band situated in North Queensland, hitting all Modern genres with the likes of Death, Black, Thrash, Jazz, Blues and Ballad. Not being boxed in by writing in a genre, just playing what sounds good, and having fun. Ire was formed by members David Kneipp, who uses a mix of heavy vocals and melodic singing for a rounded dynamic sound, Dan Trbusic, binding the rhythm section to produce truly dynamic percussion, and Luke Green, bringing together a vast range of infectious riffs that drive the band in its current direction. After a month or so in hiatus, Michael Scott-Branagan was recruited on bass, breaking out with heavily melodic bass lines, filling out the bottom end. Ire's influences range from Karnivool and Faith No More to bands such as Meshuggah and Lamb Of God which shows through on their original material.
