Ironside are not reinventing the wheel, let's just get that out of the way first. They're hoping that people will find something likeable in the simplicity of what is on offer... straight up, blues-influenced, drunk-rock! Evidently it's paying off as the band has in the past 18 months graced the stage with such bands as newly reformed seminal Australian punk-band ‘X’, The Prehistorics (Syd), Midget (Melb), DZ Deathrays, Violent Soho, HITS, Los Huevos, Giants of Science and were selected via competition to play a guest slot on 4ZZZ's Brain Banana (Zed's big annual fundraising event) alongside Cosmic Psychos (Melb) and Teargas. Next stop is Grong Grong, the only Australian band to be signed to Alternative Tentacles! After the departure of long serving drummer Nathan, Ironside have welcomed aboard Graham "Band Aid" Brown on the skins.
