      About

Bringing you the 60s sounds of Jamaica and the Caribbean! With smokin' horns and a swingin' rhythm section, the dynamic Isolites create the early pre-reggae sound of ska, rocksteady, and calypso. Never missing a beat, the Isolites debut CD, "Shake It Up Now!" flows much like their live show - plenty of fresh original songs mixed with the best selection from great Jamaican artists like: Derrick Morgan, Toots and the Maytals, the Skatalites, Bob Marley, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Prince Buster, and more. Tayo and Coo, known for their sweet rocksteady duets, provide a two-piece vocal front for the band. In an Isolites show you might hear Calypso from a by-gone era alive and kickin', a beloved reggae dance track, a horn saturated ska song, then a sweet rocksteady duet. From the most remote city in the world, the Isolites have the hottest live show this side of the equator!
