Bio

After years of refining her craft, Wollongong based indie-pop singer-songwriter Ivori aka Jess Brooker, is no rookie to the music world. Launching her new project in 2018, Ivori has created an eclectic indie-pop sound, combining her intimate, reflective and heartfelt lyrics with synth driven electronic production.

Her debut single Bittersweet, released in 2018, was a ‘stellar and catchy debut that'll no doubt aid
Ivori on the way to being an act to watch throughout the rest of 2018 and beyond’ (Pilerats). With a spin on Triple J’s Good Nights, the single was a powerful debut. Her second single ‘The Moment’ gained community radio plays from FBi, Syn, Joy and 2RRR, and her tour saw her supporting Mansionair in Wollongong on their Shadowboxer Tour and Triple J favourite Fergus James at his Sydney show.
With her next single, Warning Signs, due to be released October 3rd, Ivori’s sound continues to evolve. Warning Signs takes a new pop direction for Ivori, with 80’s inspired electronic production, creating an emphatic pop anthem. The single is released the week of Ivori’s debut festival show, at Yours & Owls Festival on October 5th. With plans for an EP in 2020, and collaborating with Sydney’s best producers on new material, Ivori is set to soar.

A window into this relationship's story, the lyrics let us observe every little action. And that chorus/bridge is like pop songwriting 101.

Hooked me a bit deeper on the second listen! There's plenty of promise to this one from Ivori.
