Artist:Jackson James Lee

Jackson James Lee is an emerging alternative artist from Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs; a 21-year-old singer-songwriter and piano player who has supported acts like indie songstress Mia Dyson and the iconic Russell Morris. Some influences include Lana Del Rey, Bernard Fanning, (Powderfinger) Tori Amos & Heart. As well as having a 70s music-cultured upbringing from musician parents Vicki & John, his unique sound consists of surf and rock elements, combined with more sultry, folky vibes drawn from other inspirations Missy Higgins & Neil Young. JJL has independently released three songs to date, with his most recent track 'Turning Around' released on the 30th October. Sonically, Turning Around progresses JJL's rock/alternative sound in a more up-tempo fashion, as well as showing more virtuosity in his instrumentation.
