About
Jackulson’s post-punk roots are irrefutable, previously playing in bands such as Oopsie Daisy and Bart's Nightmare, Jackulson harnesses a broad spectrum of genres to create a brand of art that is rare and not often seen in the quaint city of Adelaide, Australia. On their debut four track EP ‘Lisa’s Daydream’, songwriter Jackson Phillips offers a captivating world for the listener to exist in, bending time and space through warping guitars and resonant vocals. The sonic stylings of Jackulson’s music transcends eras, with influences ranging from The Cure, Unwound, Chillwave and Industrial music, all making their mark on different facets of the compositions. Phillips makes good use of these influences, employing a barrage of angular riffs with modest 80s backbeats to create a diverse blend of sounds.
