South Eastern suburbs, Melbourne based singer- songwriter, producer and rapper Jai Bates has released his debut single “Want To Funk”. An energetic 80’s infused rap track showcasing adventurous production, versatility and a feel good vibe throughout the track. Speaking on his musical upbringing, Jai illustartes “music has been in my life ever since I can remember, from my Poppa spinning Elvis on record, to my mum playing Bob Marley and Fleetwood Mac CDs. I picked up a guitar at a young age and continued to teach myself to play, with recent musical endeavours including piano, saxophone, producing and singing.
