Don’t be fooled by the name – there’s no Jake nor obvious western theme. A gifted lyric, definable vocal, melodic sound and a passion for performing define Jake and the Cowboys. Since forming in 2010, the Cowboys have been delivering a fresh brand of pop/rock to various venues around the Perth music scene and have earned themselves a strong loyal following. After receiving an Indigenous Arts Grant via The Department of Culture and Arts, JATC recorded and released their debut EP ‘The Sun and the Rabbit Hole’ in May 2011 to rave reviews in Western Australia and the Eastern States, with the EP now receiving regular airplay over 96fm, RTRfm, Noongar Radio, Qantas and Virgin Inflight Indigenous Radio and both TripleJ and TripleJ unearthed.
