Bio

Jake Hoskins is a singer, guitarist and songwriter originally from Margaret River (W.A.). He has two EP’s under his belt, Heartleap Lane (2016) and Signs in the sky (2017). Since making a new start in Brisbane (QLD) and enrolling at JMC Academy in 2018, Jake has had multiple successes, including supporting well-respected musician, Danny Widdicombe at the World-class Queensland Performing Arts Centre and an intensive 50 songs in 5 days songwriting camp in Sydney to follow, with artists such as A.B. Original, Thelma Plum and Angie Mcmahon. This has lead to an exciting 2019 with live multi-camera performances and festival lineups alongside Mason Rack band, Mojo Webb (to name a few) and more. Jake thrives on setting the vibe with his infectious presence and sound. His style ranges from Blues-Rock to a more chilled acoustic and intimate sound. W.A artist Toby Beard recently stated after a show that "Jakes music is original and doesn't sound like any other artist". His soulful blues and roots style boasts catchy melodies, dynamic vocals with prominent falsetto, fierce guitar playing and honest lyrics.
