James D Smith Singer/Songwriter James D Smith has been a singer since he was a young kid. He has recorded many solo albums, his latest being “Invite Me Places” which he has toured extensively around Australia promoting. With a musical theatre background and 4 years as a lead character (Boq) in the hit musical Wicked, James has truly cemented his place in that world. Though the singer/songwriter/story teller is still reasonably undiscovered, those who have found him and experienced one of his concerts are left with mouths wide open. Diving into the Musical Theatre world seemed like a natural thing for James, after years of drama classes and opera singing classes when he was young. James joined the cast of “Wicked” the blockbuster Broadway Musical in 2008/2009. It has been Australia's longest running hit musical, touring the entire country, also Singapore and Korea.
