Melbourne-born singer, songwriter and producer James Franklin is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new acts in the music business. The Australian Music Network has stated that Franklin is “bound for success in Australian music and beyond”.
Franklin got his start playing in coffee shops and festivals around Australia, pleasing crowds with his unique sound and songwriting skill. Keeping crowds silent through soft, tender ballads then dancing through his funky, soulful songs is something that has had audiences in Europe, Australia and the UK fall in love with James Franklin.
Growing up, Franklin listened to artists anywhere from Stevie Wonder to Jeff Buckley to Alison Krauss. Franklin’s diverse range of influences has allowed him to manipulate and blend genres of music to create his own, fresh style that brought him to support artists like “5 Seconds Of Summer” and “The Getaway Plan”.
On July 24th 2015, After working with ARIA award-winning Sound Engineer and Producer Doug Brady (John Farnham, Lenny Kravitz, Keith Urban), Franklin released his debut EP “The Laundry Room Mixtape” (available on Itunes) which Brett Stewart from A Tilting Windmill Studios, Chicago has stated is “a really impressive debut… funky… soulful”. - See more at: http://www.jamesfranklinmusic.com/about/#sthash.PvepupXe.dpuf
