James Gowans is a Peninsula-based singer/songwriter that blends solo folk/pop sensibilities with the drive of a band fused by jazz and blues. Simmering verses caressed into fiery choruses, flowing with groove and memorable melodies that will excite and leave your ears buzzing for hours afterward. James has had the opportunity to privately work with artists/songwriters such as Jeff Lang, Sarah Carroll, Peter Satchell (Dallas Crane) and Charles Jenkins (Ice-cream Hands). The song “All That You Are” from his debut E.P made it onto the VU Record Labels Compilation Album “Potential Unlimited Five” Which was shortlisted in the top five for best compilation album at the Independent Music Awards late 2012. Smooth, lively sounds make for music that leaves the listener wanting it to be heard.
