Bio

Je Bahl is a quirky dance music project from Tasmanian producer Brandon Meyer. His playful approach to electronic music and curious taste in music culminates a warm, left of centre aesthetic completely unique and his own.

His history is embedded in the live music scene of Tasmania where he spent most of his formative years cutting his teeth in pubs and clubs around Launceston refining his skills as a performer and sculpting an aesthetic as described by Declan Byrne of Triple J as ‘wonky’ and ‘fun’. Earlier in the year Brandon peaked at numbers 2 and 3 on the Triple J Unearthed's electronic charts with his demos 'Back on School Dirt' and 'Preacher Gon' Holla'

His new single ‘Coney Island’ was premiered via Pilerates Magazine in February 2018 and was described as ‘an absolute jam’ with a like-ness to The Avalanches and Alice Ivy.

A few career highlights of his include festival slots at Falls Festival, Party in the Paddock, Junction Arts Festival and most recently, a support slot with Sydney duo Set Mo in Launceston (pictured). Brandon is set release an EP later in the year with plans to expand his live show incorporating live instrumentation and lighting.
