Bio

Versatile, grounded, and mature beyond her years, JEMIMA is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who doesn’t shy away from shining a spotlight on the issues that impact her and those around her, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Music has played an important part in JEMIMA’s life from a young age, learning to play piano and guitar in addition to possessing a naturally rich vocal tone that slides over notes like liquid velvet. This early talent and passion for music followed its natural progression into writing original songs, which has been heavily influenced by artists such as Troye Sivan, Amy Shark, Khelani, and Jessie Reyes.

JEMIMA uses her songwriting talent as a tool for healing and communication; a way to discuss topics that can otherwise be difficult to communicate. JEMIMA’s debut single, Fake Smile, explores mental illness and its effect on relationships, and was followed closely by Clear - a message about the importance of talking about the little things before they become big things.

JEMIMA’s wish is for everyone to have a voice and feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear of judgement and for her listeners to know they are never alone in their problems.

Splitting her time between school in Melbourne and her home in Sydney, JEMIMA enjoys using her downtime to hang out in a hoodie and trackies with friends and her twin sister. JEMIMA is a water baby and loves nothing more than to catch a wave at her local beach.

JEMIMA’s priorities are firmly rooted in family, hard work, and a strong moral compass. It is these priorities that heavily influence her music and her life, culminating in a mature down-to-earth young woman with an exciting future ahead of her.

A big voice and a song to match. Your vocals are rippling with emotion and feeling, it really comes through the song

the calibre of song that needs to be heard in a stadium of people. if Amy Shark's looking for her next support act, she should hit you up!
