Bio

Jerome Blazé is a Sydney based producer, singer/ songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that makes striking folktronica. His sound is as personal and immersive as it is vast and uplifting and with a string of impressive releases already under his belt, the 21 year old is a rare talent.

After growing up in the picturesque Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Blazé moved to Sydney to study at the Conservatorium of Music. The producer saw off his teenage years in 2018 with his debut EP, ‘Perspective’ and in 2019 Blazé set out to make an impact with a captivating remix of fellow Sydney talent Odette’s ‘Lights Out’ via Universal, following up with his single, ‘Chame (feat. Jofi)’.

In 2020 he released his second EP ‘Open, A Home’, highlighting an increased sense of songwriting and musical maturity, and blending sounds such as saxophones and strings into his already colourful electronic palette. The EP garnered support from Spotify, Apple Music, Triple J and more, encouraging comparisons to the innovation of acts like James Blake and Bon Iver.

Leading with his singing debut on single ‘Colour of the Water’, Blazé is set to continue his deepening discography in 2021. The single sees a knack for rich instrumentals blended with his newfound passion for songwriting, cementing Blazé’s increasingly unique sound that is sure to be reflected by further releases in 2021.

Alongside his solo project Blazé also works prolifically as a producer, collaborating with the likes of Odette, Nick Ward, Ylona Garcia, Thandi Phoenix, Chris Lanzon, Ivy-Jane Browne, Lola Scott and many more.

as is the case with your entire discography, you bring the stillness and wonder of the outdoors into your ears. that ability, to reign in the beautiful natural ambience, has never been more important than now, when the outside world feels so far away.

it mixes stirring with stripped back and does it like a total pro. it's giving me those same sorta goosebumps as 'to build a home' by patrick watson and that's a big ask.

Transcendent work from Jerome. His elegant blend of softness and light deserves all the high praise it gets.
