"The Jim Mitchells are one of Sydney’s best loved acts."- Happy Mag

The creative project of multi-talented Jim Mitchell, the Sydney-based five piece have seen an exponential growth since forming in early 2016. Since the release of their debut EP 'Planet Absorbed' in September of last year, the band has played a slew of headline shows both locally and interstate, including slots at reputable local festivals; Sydney Psych Fest, Vivid Live, FREEDOM and Visions Festival.

Having been hand-picked to support Dope Lemon (Angus Stone) on their recent East Coast Tour, The Jim Mitchells look forth with the release of their latest single 'Ankle Deep' that premiered via Happy Mag on July 26th.
Featuring Beatle-esque vocal harmonies and a driving rhythm section, ‘Ankle Deep' boldly develops on the foundations of their debut. Exuding the contagious energy and personality the band has quickly become known for, the new single boasts cleaner production and a developed alt-pop sensibility.

"The whole track and video are soaked in personality, the bare-bones reason so many have fallen for The Jim Mitchells. Their performance is never hindered by any speckles of embarrassment or creative restraint, they’re a band comfortable in their own skin and from the sound of Ankle Deep, that’s the way it’s going to stay." Freya McGahey, Happy Mag
