"We were inspired by the fact that Jimmy Nicol knew what fame and adulation would have felt like," says Anderson, who once won an Elvis impersonation contest, "but lived most of his life in the shadows." "He was a drummer," says the jimmy's drummer, Rebecca Anderson (Adam's sister and the preferred child of Mr and Mrs Anderson). "But he's unappreciated, which is sad." It's something the jimmy's can relate to: though they've got the songs, the sound and the modest following, they're in the shadows.
