JLP is a 20-year-old Grime artist from Canberra, who brings witty wordplay and complex, schemed flows to 140bpm. Since discovering hip-hop early in his teens, JLP quickly moved onto grime, finding it sparked a flame that couldn’t be extinguished, even if attempted. In only 5 short years of musical releases, and building a reputation as ‘JLP’, he had been recently been traveling up and down the east coast of Australia playing shows with grime associate ‘Macca’.
