Combining 70s folk singer/songwriter influences with a contemporary Americana sound, John Flanagan’s star is on the rise since recording his latest album in Nashville with producer Viktor Krauss. His engaging, honest lyricism and timeless melodies have seen him pick up song-writing awards around Australia and win over fans at major folk festivals around the country including Woodford (QLD), Cygnet (TAS), Fairbridge (WA), Kangaroo Valley (NSW) and many others. He currently plays alongside festival favourite Liz Frencham (double bass/vocals) and bluegrass virtuoso Dan Watkins (guitar/mandolin/vocals) in a dynamic trio characterised by warm vocal harmonies and impressive acoustic arrangements.
