A 20-something Australian, currently floating around the United Kingdom. Singer of songs. Writer of Words. Sad Folk.
Growing up listening to Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Johnny Cash thanks to road trips in his father's car. He began learning guitar at the age of 12, but it wasn't until he was sixteen that he started trying to sing and play songs to people.
Growing up in a small coastal town by the name of Forster, the beauty of nature became instilled into his very being, along with the music.
His inspirations span all genres. From Nick Drake, to Marvin Gaye, to Flying Lotus, to Jeff Buckley, to Brand New, all the way across to MF Doom.
He describes his music as "intricately woven guitar tightly holding together a warm voice and melancholy lyrics". "It's like the guitar is a cushion for all my not so cushion-y lyrics, I'm basically a furniture salesman."
By the time he was eighteen he had over four songs under his belt and recorded them all at Spinlight Studios one week before heading off into the unknown, also known as the United Kingdom.
He released his first EP '1801' in June, 2015.
Now in 2017, after two years of drifting around the United Kingdom, making coffee and playing shows wherever he went, he's much more confident with the sound he is trying to achieve and he has a whole new set of songs just waiting to be heard.
