Four guys, tight jeans, alot of hair… meet the Jonathans. From Melbourne’s southern suburbs, the Jonathans have come out of their garage with their own brand of post-punk revival, garage rock and, stamping their credential as local favorites around Melbourne with a couple of years of pub and club gigs, they’re now ready to set their sights on bigger stages. Citing Dylan, Neil Young, the Stones and Velvet Under-ground among their influences, and with a nod to England 60s garage favorites the Kinks, and even 70s punk rock legends the Ramones, the Jonathans are forging their very own, individual style that sweeps away the too-slick over produced sound of pseudo-rock schlock, and gets back to the genuine roots of garage rock.
