Bio

Bringing his unique style of Australian Bush Ballads, Americana and Blues, is Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Jordan Merrick.

This humble, musical-poet released his debut single ‘Untitled #1’ in February (2017) which has 750k+ plays on Spotify, received national radio play on Triple J & Double J. It was then followed up by the single ‘You Gotta Go’ that reached #2 in the AMRAP Regional charts.

Merrick then took his debut EP ‘In Colour’ (released May 5) on tour along the East Coast of Australia.

Quickly after he released the single 'Gypsy Diver' featuring a full-band for the first time which fronted the release his second EP for 2017, 'Songs From House Arrest' (released October 2017).

Merrick has since performed alongside and supported the likes of C.W Stoneking, Mia Dyson, Alex the Astronaut, Caravana Sun and Karl S Williams.

After 2018 was spent on writing new music and making plans for 2019, Merrick spent time in the studio with ARIA winning producer/ engineer Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, Bob Evans).

In June, Merrick released 'Low Country' which showed how Merrick has shaped his sound from his folk beginnings into a fleshed-out, full-band sound.

Now, ahead of the release of his debut album, 'Night Music' (out October 25th) is the ominous, slow-stomping single, 'I Don't Belong'.

The song has such a cool laid back groove throughout the whole thing. Super into the strings
