Bio

Initially described as the "voice of a generation" by his sixth-grade teacher, Mrs. Ribera, Juan makes music that sounds like Friday nights alone eating hot cross buns (or raisin toast when hcb's aren't in season) while waiting for Uber Eats deliveries. Alone in his bedroom, he works by combining the pop sensibilities of Max Martin, the DIY recklessness of Sonic Youth, the shameless stupidity of Blink 182, the beautiful absurdity of Kate Bush, and the glittery sounds of whatever strikes him on any given day.

After shedding an old alias, Juan has now adopted a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none approach, doing everything from the music to the artwork from the blissful comfort of his bedroom in his parent's house.

Starting January 2017, he undertook the task of writing and releasing a new song every month and continues to do so to this day, making it the longest commitment that he's ever stuck to in his life. One of his newest songs "Expam 1" even had the honour of being featured on Triple J Unearthed's Best New Music playlist, which Juan thinks is "pretty neat".

When not making music, he's enjoys taking daily baths, wishing he were Charlie Conway from Mighty Ducks 2, and watching re-runs of Survivor.

Something a little Blink about this, with a healthy batch of bonus reverb

Solid list of influences, can hear it all in here. But also feeling a bit of old school Youth Lagoon in those thickly layered synths.

I love this big expansive fog of sound but holy heck it sounds like a completely different band to your last single which sounded like a completely different band to the single before that
