At 3am one night in Tokyo, Craig and Majid stumbled into a convenience store craving an ice cream sandwich and a cold beer. Tomomi Nagai was behind the register, and asked them (in broken engrish) if they were in a band. They said “yes” (even though their band just split), keen to keep up the conversation. Tomomi asked them out for karaoke and beers, and from then on a crazy friendship was born. After heading home, Craig and Majid invited Tomomi and his band The Bakers to play shows in Sydney. Their passion for music was inspiring! They wheeled their equipment from gig to gig in shopping trolleys, breaking down in tears after each show (yep, even at the Townie). Their enthusiasm inspired Craig and Majid to push themselves harder, and form a new band – Jugular Cuts! Jugular Cuts are a Sydney duo, consisting of just bass guitar (Craig) and drums (Majid).
