Artist:JUMPDRED

This is exactly what happened when TOO MUCH VARIETY RECORDS (TMV) put new dancehall/soca artist JUMPDRED on Jamaican superstar, GYPTIAN’S first Australian tour. I am executive producer at TMV and on this tour I played both the road manager and hype-man roles, travelling with Jumpdred and fellow TMV artist Kid Mac. The tour not only introduced Jumpdred, it also introduced our label/movement to a whole new audience. The response was phenomenal at every stop, with lots of positive feedback, particularly about the songs. The headliner, Gyptian himself, expressed appreciation for Jumpdred’s music. Backstage after the Sydney concert, he was fixed on one song in particular, repeatedly telling us it was a hit. The problem is, we didn’t know which song he was referring to, lol. Gyptian was such a cool laid back dude (who just wanted some Bob Marley lol), even though on stage he had superstar presence, that the ladies seem to thoroughly enjoy “rrrrrr”.
