Bio

The Junkadelic Brass Band is a band like no other. Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Junkadelic combines a smoking hot 6-piece brass section with a hard-hitting recycled percussion section to bring you a face-melting blend of street rhythms.

Junkadelic was founded in 2002 as a junk percussion group, and quickly grew to become a stage-based funk band, adding a horn section in 2010. Today, Junkadelic Brass Band draws on strong connections to New Orleans street music culture, combining traditional second-line and funk grooves with latin and hip-hop flavours to get you down on the D-floor. Rowdy vocals round out the band's explosive original compositions to create brass band music with a bend in it.

A lot of brass bands like to slam it down from the get-go, but you do something completely different. Instead, you build on tension leading into a diverse and dynamic work of art. Bravo!
