We are Junkyard Diamonds, a five piece mix of rock, blues, grunge and any other genre that we may accidentally sound like as we do not try to limit the music by cramming our sound into a pigeon hole. Sounds cliche but it is the truth. All members have a hand in writing all songs so we end up sounding very diverse. We have been giving Brisbane tastes of our sound for the past 4 years with our debut 11-track EP in 2010, a 4-track EP in 2012, and we will be serving up a new flavoured 5-track EP around September 2014 and will feature Heath Shipp, our new bassist funking it up giving us some crazy low end vibes. For the new EP, we thought some classic German Engineering was needed to step us up to the next level, so we recorded with the amazing Konstantin Kersting at Airlock Studios... and it sounds amazing before Konnie has even made sonic love to it!

We have also made our way down south playing alongside Blackie from the Hard Ons in Sydney and Valentiine and Inedia in Melbourne. One of our biggest shows being support for a couple of our favourite Aussie acts - British India and King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizard at the Zoo. In June this year we supported Babe Rainbow and good mates The Murlocs.

Keep your ears on the listen-out for our new EP which we can guarantee will show a new, matured sound for JYD while still keeping it familiar to our fans.
