With Lebanese, Italian and Latvian heritage, Justine's family history has been a major driving force behind her music, with grandparents who fled and survived war to start new lives in Australia. Despite spending the first chunk of her childhood in rural Australia, urban R&B was one of the main influences along with song-writer greats Stevie Wonder, Carole King & India.Arie.
Healing & unlearning are two major themes behind the latest body of work, as Justine unravels her own complexities as a woman navigating life and relationships. Working closely with Joe De La Hoyde ZU/ZU, Justine has been crafting a sound that blends her love of RnB melodies with introspective lyrics; a natural emergance of a sweet but strong aesthetic.
Justine co-produced the first release Morning Light, and has since released collabs with Atlanta based POSTA and RnB powerhouse Nick De La Hoyde.
