Simple yet intricate, Kanishk is a singer-songwriter who delivers a lush and harmonious folk sound. The 22 year-old musician combines elaborate fingerpicking techniques and a mellow, silvery vocal tone to produce a raw and organic style of music. Originating from Melbourne and currently based in North Queensland, Kanishk released his debut EP “In The Water” in June 2016. With the invaluable production of Mark Myers (The Middle East, Emma Louise, Leanne Tennant) and mastering of Grammy Award winning engineer William Bowden, the 5-track EP incorporates a variety of folk and roots. Kanishk remains true to the essence and simplicity of acoustic guitar, yet moulds it around different styles of music to create a diverse mix of captivating songs.
