Bio

Coffs Harbour-based producer and songwriter, Karl Crooks began his journey diversifying his production in his private Byron Bay studio collaborating with local talent, which inherently pushed his influences in many directions.

Inspired by many acts from the Australian music scene, such as Chet Faker, What So Not and Tame Impala, as well as classic rock acts like The Beatles, Karl Crooks brings together elements of live music and forward-thinking electronic production.

On the back of debuting his well received, dynamic live show at Rolling Sets Festival 2020 - alongside the likes of Lime Cordiale, Hilltop Hoods and The Rubens - he’s set to explode onto the scene with debut single ‘Akinesia’, as he paves his way forward in 2021 with plenty of new music and live shows to come.

A compelling mix of dense 'n wavey production with that addled vocal. Like a good ride turning into a bad trip.
