Artist:Kat Cooper

Singer/songwriter Katherine Cooper hails from the beautiful Byron Bay, now basing herself in Brisbane. Kat's sound is acoustic and folky, with some jazz and humour thrown in for good measure. Her raw, honest, simple approach teamed with a quirky and cute stage demeanor makes her a pleasure to watch and Kat has been hushing noisy music venues for almost 4 years as a solo act. Kat's involvement over the past 2 years with FretFest, a Brisbane based singer/songwriters has seen her perform regularly as a soloist around Brisbane and grace the Woodford Folk festival stage 2 years running. Kat Cooper has also appeared on both volumes of the Best of Fretfest compilation CDs. There is a light ( recorded 2007) features on Volume 1 (2008) and Daniel's song ( recorded 2006) on volume 2 (2009) Kat is excited to show off her EP “In-between something big” currently out on itunes, while she works on her second EP due out at the end of the year.
