Between Berlin and a small cabin located deep in the Norweigan woodlands, layers of hip hop inspired beats, tribal drums, waves of synths and aching ethereal vocals emanated as part of the emergence of Kat Vinter, the solo project of Australian nomadic songwriter Katrina Noorbergen. Themes such as isolation, intimacy, fate, deception and obsession surface and re-occur, resulting in a lush and mysterious soundscape of brooding, beat driven pop music featuring moments of darkness and light, beauty and tension.
