About

Kate Grealy is a singer-songwriter based in Melbourne, Australia, who performs Folk music with Jazz and Pop inflections. Her rich vocal style is reminiscent of artists Joni Mitchell and Jeff Buckley, while her song-writing style, heavily influenced by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Woody Guthrie, centres around poetic story-lines. “Very relaxing, melodic … So much talent, so young” (Cathy Bedford, ABC’s Drive program).  Kate is currently working on an album. She will launch the much-anticipated release in mid-2007. In the meantime however a mini-EP titled Nothing’s as it Appears is available for purchase from kategrealy.com - Samples of the album will be available soon on her web-site as the recording progresses. Between now and the release date, Kate will tour regional Victoria and New South Wales, performing at several venues between Melbourne and Sydney, including a support slot with ARIA award-winning country star Troy Casser-Daly at the Tallangatta Drought Relief Concert.  ...
