Bio
Kathy Hinch is a product of her surrounds. For and of her music she brings together breaths of urban and electronic with an authentic backbone of RnB, its present and its past. Hailing from one of the world’s neo-soul hubs, Melbourne, Australia, Kathy Hinch pays homage to the scene she’s worked long and hard, at once rising above to create an international sound, influenced by the likes of Erykah Badu, James Blake and Kimbra.
In the build up to her new EP, Kathy drops single ‘Bad Thing’, a personal ‘fool me twice’ meditation on taking responsibility for the results of one’s decisions. Produced by acclaimed musician/producers Nicholas Roy and Jaime Jimenez, ‘Bad Thing’ distills the combination of industry and organic in Hinch’s sound.
Review
Beautiful vocals, nicely produced, big soulful pop music. Good one.
