Bio

There’s a light and shade to Keelan Mak - a push and pull between melancholy and enlightenment, breaking through into a dark and haunting place. An ethereal dreamscape, where song is melded with consciousness in Mak's fragile form of expression.

Smooth velvet vocal pushing through rich production inviting you in, to then fall down the rabbit hole that is Mak's imagination. Each sound adds to the dry and barren atmosphere where nothing is lost, instead, building on the fire of a slow burning groove.

2018 has seen the launch of the young artists career with his debut single, Weigh You Down being added to major Spotify playlists and saw massive support from Triple J and Triple J Unearthed, including Artist Spotlight and being selected to open the Unearthed Stage at BIGSOUND 2018.

In between this release and supporting premiere pop artists, such as E^ST, Matthew Young and Alice Ivy, Keelan Mak has been in studio writing with some of Australia and New Zealand’s top upcoming producers including, Fossa Beats, Maribelle, and SACHI.

Amassing 200,000+ streams on his debut release in the first three months, and an EP project on the way, Keelan Mak is one to keep an eye on.

Keelan giving us his first new track of 2019 and it's a beauty. We're hearing more versatility from his vocal than we ever have before.

Impressive new one from Keelan Mak. I reckon he's got the goods and could be your go-to-guy for slinky strobe-lit pop.

it's another mix of suave, late night crooning which will get a few hot under the collar.
