About
Kent Eastwood's 3rd studio album, Travelin' Tales, had its origins during a trip through Europe. Armed with his iPhone 3GS and a multitrack app, Kent wrote and recorded demos in churches in Dresden, stairwells in Berlin, a backpackers in Prague, and even stumbled across one of Jeff Martins’ 12 string Danelectro guitars in a shack in Ireland. This self produced work explores the potential of LoFi recordings, an experiment that began on his previous album, The Corktown Sessions, a New York inspired album recorded in a Brooklyn backpackers hostel. Keeping with the raw and immediate style of This record, Eastwood has taken things one step further, contrasting the vulnerable phone recordings against high quality studio recordings.
