Kevin Dolan is an Irish songwriter currently dabbling in the ever-growing Melbourne folk scene. He grew up playing classical violin but dove into folk in his teens, immersing himself in the world of Guthrie, Dylan and Van Ronk. Kevin has always been a bit of a rambler and storyteller, and his songs reflect this. A Dylan nut, he’s influenced and inspired by the likes of Josh Ritter, Springsteen, Ginsberg, The National and Radiolab (yes lab not head).
Almost two years ago Kevin left home to find better weather. He’s been travelling, working and playing around Australia since. His debut EP Home Movies will be released this November – it's about leaving, dying and being chased by wolves. He hates writing in third person.
