Bio

Egyptian-Australian artist Kid Pharaoh is here for evolution and revolution.

Aggressive delivery & sharp lyricism paired with skilful production and energetic live shows have been Pharaoh’s driving force from the beginning; all while unapologetically providing a raw and unique voice for an underrepresented Arabic community in Australia.

2018 saw the Western-Sydney born artist push boundaries with “Jesus Looks Like Me”, a conceptually rich and powerful single that turned heads and immediately landed Pharaoh a spot on the Yours & Owls Festival stage, Triple J Unearthed Spotlight Artist status and support slots for the likes of American rapper Duckwrth.

Triple J brought light to the “shades of Kanye West & Childish Gambino” present in the single, a comparison that more than holds up due to the self-production and self-direction Pharaoh delivers to each project, with continuous sonic and visual innovation that leads no project to be like the last.

The producer of every song, the writer of every lyric and the director of every video; Kid Pharaoh’s creative force is one that continues to shatter ceilings and defy expectations at every turn.

Kid Pharaoh writing his own script once again! Love the detail that goes into every lyric and piece of production. It's pretty cool hearing him flex with some of these samples too which augment this new original nicely.

The Kid not playing on this one. What an incredible piece of art that plays out with clever dynamics over a full five minute journey
