Bio

Kids At Midnight is the solo project for Melbourne based solo Singer/Songwriter/Producer/DJ Jane Elizabeth Hanley who’s recent self produced releases on her own label ‘Square Pleasure’ have garnered almost two million plays on Spotify and national airplay from Triple J.

An artist who writes, records, produces and releases her own work, Kids At Midnight has garnered loyal fans all over the world for her own brand of 80s inspired Indie Electronica. Growing up in a small seaside town KAM dreamed of making music but had no idea how to do it. Dreams and clifftops and sprawling isolated dramatic scenery lent itself to early songwriting, but the journey of a songwriter is mostly in other peoples hands and after a moment of clarity she decided to try her hand at producing. She’s passionated about sharing her producing knowledge and journey and Mentors an Educational program in collaboration with The Arts Centre, Melbourne's 'The Chanel' using her experience to inspire and educate women in the craft Music Production. She has appeared as guest speaker at EMC, Sydney, The Ableton User Group, The Channel, Australian Institute of Music and Abbey Road Studios.

Known for her romantic and rhythmically twisting lyricism and passionate live performances and sonically described by Triple J's Richard Kingsmill as 'a fluffy cloud with lots of tears in it', Kids At Midnight continues to stamp her unique melancholic perspective on the Australian and International Indie Electronic music scene.

Um, yeah, I get around this vibe! K.A.M finding that sweet synth spot between Stranger Things and Twin Peaks.
