Bio

Kill the Darling formed in 2011 when Tasha Lloyd (vocals; guitar) and David Hobson (vocals; guitar) started playing and writing together. Anchored by classically trained Tasha’s soaring voice, they layer guitar and vocal loops to create haunting soundscapes. After cutting their teeth as a duo on the Melbourne pub circuit, they released their self-titled debut EP to a warm reception. The band took a brief hiatus in 2013 when Tasha moved to Berlin, playing solo shows from Paris to Baden.

Three years later, they’re back with a new, bolder sound and a fuller line-up, with Alice Duncan (bass) and Travis Jones (drums) joining the band.

Gorgeous melodies and the sweet melancholia of the voice and guitar wrap around each other like two old friends, always complementing each other perfectly. Fantastic track from some fantastic talent. JJJ, get on to this!
