Bio

Kilns are a four-piece band from Melbourne, built around the songwriting of Mickey Cooper.

With the band-in-a-room immediacy, alt-country inspired harmonies and resonating poetic imagery that brings to mind contemporary indie acts such as Middle Kids or Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, as well as the classic rock of early Paul Kelly, Kilns is the fleshed-out natural progression of Cooper’s lo-fi solo LP ‘Hit The Ceiling’.

Infectiously great indie rock full of compelling charm, story and a sound so endearing it'll capture your heart in an instance.

Awesome to hear Mickey back with this new project! Some soaring indie rock with a lil hint of country that's headed straight for ya heart.

Uplifting indie business here. The vocalist has an endearing crackle atop the muscular Holy Holy-fashioned playing.
