Bio

Kim is an acoustic songstress and an aspiring songwriter in Canberra, Australia. Her soothing finger-picking and ethereal voice capture the attention of passers-by.

Inspired by female vocalists like Sarah McLachlan, Kina Grannis, First Aid Kit, and Eva Cassidy, and comfortable on both her guitar and 8-string ukulele, Kim is able to easily switch between genres and instruments to adopt the mood of her audience.

Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Kim has been sharing her melodious and warm voice in the streets and cafes of Canberra since 2016. As a late bloomer in music, Kim realised there were so many stories from her life that needed to be shared. In 2017, she started writing songs that speak from her lived experiences as a young adult, a partner, a daughter, a sister, a friend and an insecure soul, with a mixed genre of Folk, Pop, Blues and Jazz.

Recently Kim has played at large events such as Floriade 2018 and the National Folk Festival 2019.

In May 2019 Kim is releasing her debut EP 'Ocean of Mind' produced by Guyy Lilleymann at Amberly Studios, Canberra. Ocean of Mind EP features three melodic, harmonic and emotional songs about love, hope and loss that are very close to her heart.

Besides her solo project, Kim is also a part of a Canberra blues rock band Muddy Wolfe. Her original blues tune with the band Life of a Working Man was aired on Australia's Triple J Unearthed twice during the first week of its release.

Holy crap your voice is AMAZING - spellbinding even. You had me from the first melody and kept me enthralled all the way through to the end.
