Bio

Melbourne based multi-instrumentalist Soul/Pop front woman Kit Watts has attitude and charisma alike Anne-Marie,commanding, distinctive vocals comparable to Florence Welch and has recently started carving her spot in the industry as one of the hardest working and vibrant performers.

Kit started writing, performing and managing blues/folk band The Blue Ruins in 2012. The trio toured Australia up until 2015, playing over 500 shows including; Byron Bay Blues Festival, Thredbo Blues Festival, National Folk Festival and opening for Josh Pyke, Lior and Kim Churchill.

In late 2014, Kit Watts became the first Soul/ Pop act to sign with Marshmallow Pavements Records.
Her first single, ‘Goodbye’, released in June 2015 shot her into the ears of Triple J presenter Richard Kingsmill. After being premiered on his show, the guitar heavy, deep soul track went on to gain #4 on the AMRAP charts and hold the #1 position on the Triple J Unearthed charts for 3 weeks.

Kit released ‘How Hard’ in February 2016. Triple J’s Dom Alessio premiered the anthem like, emotion driven track and it went on to receive multiple spot plays on Triple J and #3 on AMRAP charts.

Kit is gearing up to release her 3rd single mid 2017 followed by an EP and extensive touring.

This is an enormous pop song. It's belted out with enough gusto to fill an arena.
