Bio

Kitten Heel are a somewhat clanky but hard-hitting indie-dance group, equal parts floor-filler and heartbreaker.

It began as an audio deluge for two uni acquaintances, Jareth Leslie-Evans and Jourdain Vitiello. For about three years – the pair caught between influences – toiled away writing and producing material in their homemade studios. In 2019 they surfaced with a sound that borrows from New wave, leaning on the percussive and electronic quirk.

Now fixed as a six-piece, the Kitten Heel live collective is an intentional bout into what makes the Wollongong duo tick. With synths, guitars, drums, a computer and a questionable affection for the cowbell, Kitten Heel considers the alternative through a unique electronic lens.

Incubated in the Kitten Heel studio, 2020 will see the band release their EP CLUB DUST. Beyond that, Kitten Heel are playing regular shows throughout Sydney and Wollongong.

The squelchy synth rumble and ricocheting rhythms are giving life to this new one from Kitten Heel.
