Bio

Sydney based artist, Kobie Dee (real name Kobie Duncan), is excited to share his latest single ‘This Life’ ft Bea Moon. The sincere and thoughtful new track is produced by prolific Sydney beatmaker Papertoy, who also produced Kobie Dee’s breakout single ‘Right Now’. ‘This Life’ ft Bea Moon highlights Kobie’s effortless skill with rhythmic structures, captivating storytelling and his innate empathy for the human condition that goes far beyond his 21 years.

Kobie says of his new track ‘I wrote this song when I was 18 or 19. It was a time where I started really reflecting on the things that happen around me, and just the struggles that people in community face every day. I grew up in Maroubra with my mum and siblings, we lived in a part of Maroubra that was known for its crime rates and drug and alcohol abuse...that’s where I really get the inspiration to write songs like “This Life”’.

‘This Life’ ft Bea Moon will be followed up with an accompanying film clip shot by Maxed Out Films, due to be released Wednesday, February 2019.

Kobie Dee is moving from strength to strength. The upcoming Gamilaroi artist had huge success last year with the release of his first single ‘Right Now’. With just a few songs released he has generated more than 500k streams across Facebook and Youtube capturing the attention of fans and industry heavyweights alike. ‘This Life’ ft Bea Moon is the long awaited follow-up that marks the beginning of a big 2019 for Kobie Dee.

Love this one from Kobie Dee. Classic storytelling hip hop vibe detailing a really tragic struggle.
