With a range of hard hitting riffs, atmospheric melodies and haunting ballads, Koert van der Laan provides a diverse catalogue of music for every listener. Originating in Perth WA, Koert entered the songwriting community in 2019 with his single ‘Sunshine’, which featured both indie vibes and rock riffs. With no band and a final year of school to get through, Koert decided to release his first EP ‘In All the Ways’ which hit the airwaves as lockdown begun across the country. Still, with no band, school studies, and a pandemic to deal with, Koert utilised his time in lockdown to write his second album ‘Letters to You’, which was released in November of 2020. Throughout his short time as a songwriter, Koert has written songs for every mood, whether that be love, loss or loathing and each release takes you on a journey of his personal experiences.
