Bio
Lachlan Edwards Is a young and energetic singer-songwriter from Newcastle NSW playing folk indie acoustic style. He picked up a guitar for the first time in 2016 and in a few months he was writing original material and performing live.
In May 2018 a live version of 'Little Things,' earned him the #1 spot on Triple J's Unearthed Roots chart with Triple J' Roots n' All' presenter Nkechi Anele commenting, "There is something about Lachlan's voice that makes you forget to breathe when you listen to this song." 'These Days' held the #12 spot at the same time with Triple J Unearthed MD Dave Ruby Howe saying "There's a coastal breeze blowing through this super chill track."
He was invited to play the 2019 Bouddi Boogaloo and The Bitter and Twisted Festival and opened for Cold Chisel's Ian Moss, Tex Perkins, Diesel, Mark Wilkinson, Ash Grunwald, Jordy Maxwell, Justin Townes Earle, Joe Pug, Shun Kirk, Surftrash and more.
In late 2018 Lachlan recorded his debut EP, "Once More' with Garrett Kato which saw its release in January 2020 and the reviews have come in - "Big voice, open thoughts and wisdom coming from Lachlan here. Gorgeous songwriting. Such a treat hearing from you legend!" – Claire Mooney, Triple J and "I missed the first version of this one from 2018 but am very happy to hear it in this form. Lachlan is full of honesty and has a voice that could charm a loooooot of people." – Declan Byrne, Triple J.
At just 17 his music is as laidback as a summer breeze and very chilled and as ARIA Hall Of Famer Kasey Chambers put it "Oh to have this much talent at that age!"

When this tracks springs forward it feels like a gust of wind jetting into your sails, propelling you along. Strong signs of a big talent if you ask me.
